Why is Cub Scouting important? Cub Scouting helps to instill core values: to do their best, help others, and serve God and America are a few of the promises a new Cub Scout makes.

Cub Scouts are also taught to respect nature, to be kind to those who are different, to be self-sufficient, and many other positive character traits.

Along the way, Cub Scouts also get to make new friends, try new things, learn new skills, and visit new places. Being a Cub Scout is a self-esteem building, positive experience.
